liquid with a pleasant odour. It is completely soluble in water, alcohol and ether.

Coatings and Inks
The largest use of IPA is a solvent in the coatings and inks applications. IPA is used as a solvent in nitrocellulose lacquer, natural oils, and thinner formulations where good solvency, high volatility is required. It is also used as a humectant for nitrocellulose.

Manufacture of other Chemicals
IPA is used as a feedstock in production of acetone and its derivatives; namely DAA, MIBK, MIBC, DIBK, Isophorone and manufacture of Isopropyl Acetate, Isopropylamine etc.

Other Applications
As extraction agent for flower perfumes, pharmaceutical products and household personal care, formulation in industrial detergents and polishes, antifreeze agents, adhesives, dehydration agent, high purity IPA in the electronic industries etc.
